Flamenco Classes in flamenco technique and choreography, including with bata de cola. Studio now located next to Farringdon Train and tube station in London.
With over twelve years of teaching experience I cater for various levels in my classes ensuring all students get individual attention and are nurtured and supported to improve. Students wishing to dance with a skirt are advised to wear a wide, full volume, mid-length to long style. Bata de Cola students are required to have their own bata de cola skirt.
BATA DE COLA INTRODUCTORY TECHNIQUE AND CHOREOGRAPHY
Five week course covering bata de cola technique to build strength and improve control.
Course will teach students how to move and control the bata de cola correctly and to avoid pitfalls such as standing on or flipping the skirt. The sessions will include technique exercises and choreography.
Recommended for those who have not attended bata de cola classes previously or regularly, or those wanting to join the Friday bata de cola classes on a regular basis.
"*The* place to learn bata!"
"I thoroughly enjoy Michelle’s classes even though I’m dog-tired on a Friday evening after the work week. It picks me up. Michelle is a great teacher. I do bata de cola classes with her and she really takes the time with technique, which makes all the difference. Plus, we learn lovely choreographies. And the bonus is that the class feels like a mini-family. Newcomers are welcomed into the fold."
"Michelle is a wonderfully patient, generous and committed teacher. She's blessed with not only being a technically brilliant and expressive dancer, but also the ability to break down difficult concepts, spot what you're doing wrong and takes the time to correct you. I was lucky to start my journey in flamenco with her, and under her careful eye, have developed not only as a dancer but also as a person. Flamenco speaks to me, and I'm grateful that Michelle has been here to help me learn how to answer."
